This statement explains the privacy and the data protection practices which apply to John Shaw FRICS.
My aim is to safeguard my users’ privacy when using my services. Collecting personal information is necessary if I am to satisfy the expectations and requirements of our users, e.g. by communicating with them and providing an interactive service. Any personal information such as name, postal address, telephone number, and email address will only be used to provide a requested service and will not be disclosed to any other third party without your prior permission unless listed below or unless we are required to do so by law. My lawful basis for processing your data falls within the category of Legal Obligation.
Applicants/Buyers: I will hold your data to provide estate agency services and may share your data with associated services such as conveyancing, financial services and providing your name to our vendor/sub-agents when arranging a viewing/reporting offers and agreeing sales. I may share your data with other property professionals including solicitors, Money Laundering and other referencing agencies, sub-agents, financial advisors, surveyors, contractors, other agents involved in a sales chain, the vendor of the property you are buying and general marketing.
Vendor clients: I may share you data with other property professionals including solicitors, EPC providers, Money Laundering agencies, financial advisors, sub-agents, surveyors, contractors, other agents involved in a sales chain, applicants viewing the property and general marketing.
Valuation clients: I may share your data with property professionals such as solicitors, surveyors and agents.
From completion of a sale or valuation:
Sale files will be kept for a period of 6 years as required by the Property Redress Scheme.
Valuation files will be kept for a period of 10 years as required by our professional indemnity insurance requirements and The Property Ombudsman.
Anti-money laundering identification records will be kept for 5 years unless required for the above.

Your Acceptance
